Paul Revere was heavily involved in a variety of activities during the period preceding the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. As an engraver, he made, printed Paul Revere's Ride, poem Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, published in 1861 and later collected in Tales of a Wayside Inn (1863).
